MEET MIRANDA VUKASOVIC
Miranda Vukasovic is a composer, performer, visual artist and designer hailing from Croatia.
Vukasovic has worked in the fields of art, architecture and design for over ten years with her work taking her from Zagreb to Rio de Janeiro, Paris to Mexico City, Milan to New York and most recently London to Beijing. Vukasovic has extensive experience in project design and production, drawing from her collaborations with design studios across Europe, Asia and South and Central America including as Exhibition Designer and curator with Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Milan and Genoa (2006-2008); Gianni Ranaulo, Paris and Dubai (2007); Gomez de Tuddo (2008-2009); Carson Architects, London (2010-2011) working on an urban rejuvenation project in Hackney, East London, which earned a RIBA Award; and most recently as a Brand Overseer and Designer for Clou Beijing (2011-2016).
Vukasovic designs a wide range of objects, always taking inspiration from the cultural heritage of the destinations she visits and calls home. In 2013, Vukasovic presented her first jewellery designs in collaboration with Micro Macro Studio during Beijing Design Week (showcased in the exhibition “ARTchitecture, The Way We Design”, Today Art Museum, Beijing) and in 2016 began her eponymous jewellery brand, MV, heavily influenced by her knowledge of architecture. Since 2018 Vukasovic has designed furniture for Studio Constellation, Milan, latterly has created both 2- and 3D works in conjunction with Peking Art Associates for Star, Sydney and has designed a sound and light performance pavilion for the inaugural Gobi Heaven Art Festival.
